Accessibility statement

How we make this service usable by everyone, and how to reach us if something is not.

1. General

Tel Aviv Taxi is a fixed-price taxi service operating in Tel Aviv and across Israel. We treat accessibility for people with disabilities as a right, not a favour. This website and our ordering service are meant to be usable by everyone, independently and with dignity.

Accessibility in Israel is governed by the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and by the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013. Website accessibility is carried out in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568, which adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) of the W3C.

2. Level of accessibility

This website is designed to meet Israeli Standard SI 5568 at level AA, based on WCAG 2.0 AA. Colour contrast was verified using the APCA perceptual contrast algorithm, and every interactive element declares hover, focus-visible and disabled states.

3. Accessibility adjustments on this website

  • Semantic HTML with landmark regions for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
  • A “skip to content” link at the top of every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • Full keyboard operation. Every action can be reached and carried out without a mouse, including the services menu and the language switch.
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Text alternatives on all images; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Colour contrast meeting WCAG AA, verified with the APCA perceptual contrast algorithm.
  • Information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Full Hebrew and English support, including right-to-left layout and Hebrew typography.
  • Respect for the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference.
  • Action targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels for buttons and primary controls.
  • Content that reflows on narrow screens and can be enlarged in the browser without loss of content or function.

4. Ordering a taxi

Our service can be used without installing an app and without completing an online form.

  • By phone — call 053-600-8686. The line is answered 24 hours a day.
  • By WhatsApp — message 053-600-8686 with your pickup address, destination and time.
  • Plain language — clear, jargon-free instructions in English and Hebrew.
  • No complex forms — you speak directly with the driver or dispatcher and agree the fare before you travel.
  • Specific assistance — if you need help getting in or out of the vehicle, or space for a wheelchair or mobility aid, tell us when you order so the driver knows before arrival.

5. Known limitations

We are not aware of any part of this website that is inaccessible. Some pages link to external websites and to content supplied by third parties; we cannot guarantee the accessibility of that content and we are not responsible for it.

If you do meet a barrier anywhere on this site, tell us. We will fix it, or give you the information in another way.

6. Contact and accessibility coordinator

The accessibility coordinator handles requests, information and complaints about accessibility. We will respond as soon as possible.

If you need information from this website in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — ask us and we will provide it.

7. Statement date and review

This statement was written on 11 September 2026. It is reviewed at least once a year, and whenever the website changes in a way that affects accessibility.
