The route
The drive follows the coastal highway (Route 2) north from Tel Aviv, past Herzliya and the Sharon plain, and drops into Netanya from the east. With normal traffic it takes about 30 to 45 minutes door to door, depending on where in Tel Aviv you start and where in Netanya you finish.
Netanya runs along a cliff above the sea, so the difference between one address and another is a real climb. Give the driver the exact address, not just the city, and the last part of the trip stops being guesswork.
Netanya for visitors
The town is built around its cliff-top promenade, with the beach and the sea below it and most of the hotels along the top. It is a common stop for people breaking the journey between Tel Aviv and Haifa, and a popular base for French-speaking visitors.
If you are continuing north afterwards, Haifa is about another hour up the same road, and we can arrange that leg too.
Airport runs from Netanya
Ben Gurion Airport is roughly 45 minutes south of Netanya, and the trip is mostly motorway. For an early flight, order the day before and give your flight number, so the pickup time is set against the actual departure rather than a guess.
