Ramat Gan guide — Diamond Exchange, Safari and Sheba
Ramat Gan shares a border with Tel Aviv but works to a different rhythm: a business district with towers, a drive-through safari, one of the country's largest hospitals, and a national park with a lake. This guide is about getting between them — the distances look small on a map and are not always small in traffic.

The three Ramat Gan you will actually visit
The Diamond Exchange district
This is the business core: a cluster of towers around the diamond exchange, with offices, hotels and restaurants. Several towers share one access road, and each has its own lobby and vehicle drop-off, so the tower name is the detail that matters.
The Safari and the national park
The open-air Safari park is entered by car along a defined route, and it is a family destination in its own right. The Ramat Gan National Park nearby is a large green space with a lake, used for walking and picnics rather than for a specific attraction.
Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer
Sheba is one of the largest hospitals in the country and a destination for patients and visitors from outside the city. It is a campus, not a building: know the building or clinic you are going to, and arrange the pickup at the same entrance rather than at "the hospital".
Getting around, and where a taxi actually helps
Ramat Gan is served by bus routes and by the light rail along its edge, and the Ayalon highway runs past it. For a regular commute between the towers and central Tel Aviv, public transport is reasonable in the middle of the day.
What a taxi solves here is the specific-address problem: a tower lobby, a hospital building, the Safari entrance, or a hotel on the edge of the business district. It also solves the timing problem — appointments in the towers and at the hospital tend to start at fixed times, and the Ayalon corridor is exactly where a twenty-minute buffer disappears.
For hospital visits there is a second detail worth mentioning: if the pickup is for a patient, say so. Access at the entrance, waiting time and the route to the right building are easier to arrange when the driver knows before arriving.
Ramat Gan and Ben Gurion Airport
The airport is roughly 25 to 35 minutes away depending on the Ayalon. That makes an early flight from Ramat Gan practical without leaving at an unreasonable hour, and a late landing simple to handle. Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan routes · Ben Gurion arrivals pickup · Price list
